Establish two methods for estimating the distance across of canyon (the law of sins).

Law of sines for triangle: a/sinA =b/sinB=c/sinC, where a,b,c are sides across from angles A,B,C. Not sure where to go from there, except that you could imagine various triangles you might use, with one leg of each being the distance from one wallof the canyon to the other.
