Yes, you can rule out the f(n-3) ones because you don't have that many starting values. Evaluating them indicates the last one is correct.

D, because if f(3) = 2f(3-1) -> 2*2 = 4 f(3-2) -> 1 ... f(1) is 1 4 * 1 = 4
