Use ΔABC shown below to answer the question that follows: What statement is needed to prove that ΔABC is similar to ΔDBA? A. Segment AD is an altitude of ΔABC. B. Segment CB is a hypotenuse. C. Segment CA is shorter than segment BA. D. Angle C is congruent to itself. I think it might be B but I'm bad at proofs so I'm not sure.

@primeralph can you please help with this?

OpenStudy (primeralph):

One can't really say without knowing the rest of the proof being used. @Luigi0210

@campbell_st

OpenStudy (primeralph):

@courter98 Is the problem missing any information?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, this is all the information I have

OpenStudy (primeralph):

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (primeralph):

I can tell you A is wrong, B and C are probably irrelevant, so maybe D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D was wrong

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

If you prove AD is an altitude, then you have the right angle for triangle DBA and the start of using Angle Angle Postulate... thats my best guess...

OpenStudy (primeralph):

I was going to say that, but AD does not look like an altitude with the given info.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well put Not to Scale on the diagram... covers all sins..
