When WWII ended George Orwell used the term 'Cold War' in his essay "You and the Atomic Bomb" (published in Oct 1945). The essay was about living in a world with the threat of nuclear warfare. He eluded to 'a peace that is no peace' which he labeled a permanent 'COLD WAR'. He referred to a battle of ideologies between communism (Russia) and the Western powers of capitalism.
