Just stating you're a soprano doesn't say much, I guess. Well, I mean, there are different types of a soprano singer, and there are songs and roles in musical theater that are suited to distinct styles. How about trying out ones in different genres? Maybe one from the Sound of Music, try one from Hairspray, Wicked, Les Mis, Into the Woods, Rock of Ages even. The list goes on.
