A graph is translated according to the following rule. Describe the translation. (x, y) → (x, y +3) A. The graph is translated 3 units to the left. B. The graph is translated 3 units up. C. The graph is translated 3 units down. D. The graph is translated 3 units to the right. B?
@jigglypuff314
B is correct :) y value makes it go up or down. so + 3 would make it go up :)
yep! thanks :) can you help with other ones? if you aren't busy..
sure :)
Thanks :) Translate the graph according to the rule (x, y) → (x , y – 2).
y means to move it up or down - 2 means to move it down 2
would it be the 3rd one?
yep :)
awesome! thanks :)
Translate the graph according to the rule (x, y) → (x– 4, y ).
x values make it move left or right <- is left and right is -> negative means to the left. so - 4 would mean that it is shifted left 4
This one?
yep :)
Okie, thanks =) btw, how did your lesson go yesterday?
pretty good ;) I think I'm going deaf tho :P
deaf? :O why???
I play the piccolo :P it's really high pitched >,<
I'm gonna be playing this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-jvBE8wL5Q
oooh, lol, so.. you were just joking about deaf part? XD
not really -.- I'm supposed wear ear plugs every time I practice, or I really would go deaf :P
Oh.. soo sorry :( are you ok now? and you didn't wear ear plugs when you practiced?
lol I don't like ear plugs, either that or I forget :P going deaf doesn't hurt, you just can't really hear anything XD
f(x) is shown in black and g(x) is shown in red. Which is a coordinate rule for the translation of f(x) to g(x)? A. (x, y) → (x – 5, y) B. (x, y) → (x + 5, y) C. (x, y) → (x, y – 5) D. (x, y) → (x, y + 5) A?
Lol, but thats not good! I don't think being deaf is going to be good for someone like you!
lol I'll be fine deaf :P and A is correct :)
Hmm... dunno about that O.o ok! thanks
