Hi I'm doing combining like terms I'm an 8th grader. Any tips? One I'm having troubld with is M-5m

It should be pretty easy. Where are you having problems?

like terms have the same variable and same exponent. m - 5m = 1m - 5m = -4m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically if it doesn't have a number then only 1 times the number. Since what you have is 1 times a number minus 5 times a number it should be easy.
