https://www.desmos.com/calculator try this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a graphing calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I use it to get the answer though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Zale101 @GoldPhenoix @Isaiah.Feynman @april115, anybody? Please help me! D:

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

I think @Isaiah.Feynman could help~ c:

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Why?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmm wel... so... what part is needed? part A and B seem too simple

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not entirely sure jdoe. :/

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... the exercise assume you know how to simplify linear equations, that is, solving for a variable

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Part A is basically telling you to draw a graph. Part B means pick any x value you like, plug it in and find y. Repeat three times. Part C - make a line that has the same slope but different y intercept, ie change nothing except the number on the RIGHT side of the equals sign of 7x+y = 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, okay. agent0smith, do you think you can walk me through those?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

"solutions that will satisfy the equation" valid "y" values for "x" values, just plug a random "x" to get its "y" "determine 3 different solutions" use 3 random "x" then

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

"inconsistent equations" now .... once you've solved for "y" and you can see the equation's SLOPE just make another one with the same SLOPE same-slope equations, are parallel lines, parallel lines never touch each other, thus no solution thus makes an "inconsistent" system of equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. Thank you.
