I got x= -4 when I plugged in the y value into the first equation and solved for x.
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
though I'm not sure if it's supposed to be done that way. I think so...sorry higher level math abandons this real quick
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
-4? Where they intersect, I plugged it in and got that as well. Yeah.. people do abandon questions when its advance math..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well since we all agree its -4 i will put that.
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
ikr...only very few topics in algebra survive in calc.

Hmm seems legit :3 lol make sure by asking @Luigi0210 <-- my bffffff
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
DOH! OH MAN THIS WAS YEARS AGO D:
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
I know if two lines intersect there's a solution... if two lines are parallel then there's no solution.
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
again this is not used in advanced math D:
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
mmm I know the chapter number in my old book. let my dust my collection and see

No solutions as I don't see another line that could intersect.
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
OHHH WAIT
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
Maybe they're on top of each other so it could be infinite
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
FOUND IT!
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
and it was in the back of my old book. LOL SInce we have the same line, we can conclude that there are an infinite number of solutions

I have to type "we" because I'm taking a proof writing class this semester.
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
Lol told ya ;P
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
and it sucks D: seriously I'm a computation girl
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
wahh I keep on dropping connection D:
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
Same.

$8
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
as the 4x and 2x is the adult, (8,5) is da point where they intersect
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
word problems...NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'm bad at those D:
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
I think its D
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
being an English and Math major... oh gawd I can't stand the two together..get it off get it off.

1 solution
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
one solution
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
those are easy ^^
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
hence only one intersection
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
:(

I think its A or C as ist wide is 10ft longer. Mostly C because its perimeter 140 .. not entirely sure, might wanna make sure
