Select the pair of equations whose graphs are perpendicular. A. 5x – 8y = 9 12x – 5y = 7 B. 2y = –3x + 5 2x – 3y = 4 C. y = 2x – 7 x + 3y = 3 D. 3x + 6y = 8 y = 3x – 8
okay you need to remember that perpendicular means that the slopes will be opposite reciprocals of each other... so let's say the slope is 5. the line perpendicular to that should have a slope of -1/5. so you'll need to rearrange all of the above equations so that it follows the whole y=mx+b format and from there, you'll be able to see which set of equations has slopes that follow the opposite reciprocal rule :)
i think its b
how did you get that? just show me your conversion to y=mx+b :) so i can check if you did it right :)
ill give my final conversion
okay sounds good :) just wanna see if you did it right :)
