Okay, i guess this one is just kinda common knowledge i don't know a formula to give u for basic math but how many 100 are in 290 well, yes u move decimal over twice because 100 is a number in which divisibility is easy especially in this situation so 2.9. Maybe someone else can explain better, but whenever dividing by one-hundred decimal movement is a given so to see a #'s like 290/ 100 u instantly know where the decimal goes.
