Price of item after a 20% discount plus sales tax:
i know the tax is 1.39 and the final price is 8.35 but i have to shot my work and i used a calculator .
what are you asking
@musicdramalife00 the steps of how to solve the Price of item after a 20% discount plus sales tax:
s you're saying that the price of the item is $6.96 find the discount price with tax and the final answer will = 8.35? are you sure?
it won't = 8.35
^^^^ look
OH THATS WHAT YOU MEANT
lol yeah
what equation would i use?
& whatnot
oh mk
no equation needed
okay so basically its saying that your tax will be 20% of your original price
there is no discount basically
@Mertsj is this correct?
so you start out with $6.96 find 20% of that and it will give you the tax 1.39
The item is 20% off. That means you don't have to pay 20% of the price but you do have to pay 80% of the price. 80% of 6.96=.80(6.96)=5.57 Now you have to figure out the tax and you didn't say what the tax rate is so you'll have to figure that out for yourself and add it to 5.57
i thought she was asking this http://www.clipular.com/c/5208257949859840.png?k=3Cx4M1esyql7fD0EKyROAtVY0Fg there is no discount. its just calculating the amount of tax
no i wasnt my bad if i confused you.and there is no tax rate so +0.
