Use elimination. 2*(7x-2y)=2*(-3) 14x-4y=-6 Now 14x-4y=-6 -(14x+ y)=14 ------------- 0 -5y=-20 So y=4 For y=4 14x+y=14 14x+4=14 14x=10 x=10/14 x=5/7 x=5/7, y=4
