difference between hemoglobin and haemoglobin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HAEMoglobin and HEMoglobin are the same exact things. Both of them are a conjugated protein, consisting of haem (or hem) and the protein globin, that gives red blood cells their characteristic colour. It combines reversibly with oxygen and is thus very important in the transportation of oxygen to tissues.

They are just different English spelling.
