A test has 20 questions. If Peter gets 80 percent correct, how many questions did Peter miss?

OpenStudy (arabpride):

You have to det up a proportion

OpenStudy (arabpride):

set up***

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x/20 = 20/100 for number missed

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

think of this if 8 is 80 percent of 10 then it means that we double the 8 in order to get the 80 percent of double the 10, which is 20

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

arab, I think your set-up is a little incorrect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

peter missed 4 if got an 80

OpenStudy (arabpride):

Oops i think your right ninny, i just realized it now *facepalm*

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

then if 16 is 80% of 20, it follows that 20-16 would be the missed amount

thanks everybody for taking the time out to help me I suck at math :(((
