which of the following data sets could most likely be normally distributed? A. daily temperatures highs for winter in 25 U.S cities B. number of home runs per baseball player in a championship series C. yearly income for California residence D. IQ tests
I dont even understand why this type of question is in my geometry coarse to begin with
Don't see much justification for including such a question in geometry. However, understanding this kind of thing is important if and when you study statistics. Among A, B, C and D, which option would likely be MOST general, that is, not affected by geographical location or type of baseball series?
yearly income?
No, because that's limited to one geographical region: California. Note, in contrast, that IQ would supposedly include students from the entire USA, not just California. For that reason, IQ is most likely to follow a normal distribution. :)
awesome, thank you! :D
