Which ordered pair makes the equation true? 2x – 5y = –10 (Points : 1) (5, 4) (–10, 4) (2, 5) (20, 4)

OpenStudy (lucaz):

plug in the x and y values and see if they work on the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i am not boo

OpenStudy (mathmale):

jon: mind keeping such "conversations" private? you too, nikki_kitty.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jonjenkins7653 keep comments 2 yourself and @nikki__kitty ignore ignorance and youre right @mathmale

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

the first one

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

just substitue it in and it works

OpenStudy (mathmale):

2x – 5y = –10 could be solved for y: 5y=(2x+10) => y=(2x+10)/2. Then you could substitute the x value from each of the given options until you find the one that produces the corresponding y value. Faster.

Jon: Does that constitute intelligent discourse? What's your point? Go elsewhere if you must insult people.
