"The hyperbola definition in geometry is the locus of points satisfying the condition that the difference of distances from two point’s foci is always constant." Since (0,-15) is a point on the hyperbola, its distance from F1 (0,-17) is 2 and from F2 (0,17) is 32. The difference of distances should be..... :)
