Match the equation with the graph. -1/2x+1/6y=2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

Just sub x values into your equation and see which graph has those same points

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

follow?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh.. kinda

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

Or u can just put x=0 n y=0....sorry for sounding like a broken CD here ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it A or B?

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

Big difference - when x=0, the y-intercept should be...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/3

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

n when y=0...

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

wait wait wait x=0, y is not 2/3....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The closes one looks like B.

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

If you had the equation, 2x = y you can just sub values in it and graph it, make a table, |dw:1389402389720:dw| Now match the points to your graph

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

so the graph would look like, |dw:1389402470568:dw|

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

u got the x-intercept part right (when y=0) but find the y-intercept at x=0 plz?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

None of them look like thay...

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

to give you an example, of what im doing to generate these points, 2x = y so set x = 1 2(1) = y y = 2 so set x = 2 2(2) = y 4 = y Hope this helps

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

when x=0, 1/6y=2/3...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is D??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is what I got.

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

oh yeah you need to solve for y

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

yeah D is right

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

Sorry im back now n yes u got it @amandaaa00rouseee :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay Thanks!
