There's no question?
OpenStudy (jewlzme17):
what question?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
For the function f(x) = 3x + 3, find x such that f(x) = 18
A. 6
B. 57
C. 5
D. 3
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
Well plug in a x value, f(6) = 3(6) + 3 = 21
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
It's not A :) You try

what
OpenStudy (nikato):
Plug in 18 for x in 3x+3
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
._. I don't think thats what're asking for @nikato .. f(x) has to = 18
OpenStudy (anonymous):
@lanK16 can u hellp
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
"find x such that f(x) = 18 is implying that a x value will equal 18

By pluging in 5, you get f(3) = 3(5) + 3
3*5 = 15
15 + 3 = 18
f(5) = 18
OpenStudy (nikato):
Oh nvm it's,
18=3x+3
And ur tryin to solve for x
OpenStudy (jewlzme17):
you know that f(x)= 18 so now just plug it into the equation and then you can solve for 3x+3 which would then come out to be 18 = 3x + 3...if i am correct? then all you now would need to do is solvw which would be
3x +3=18
-3 -3
3x = 15
/3 /3
x=5
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
You could also do that lol
18 = 3x + 3
-3 -3
15 = 3x
/3 /3
x = 5 :>
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
The answer is rabbits ^^
