NEED HELP IN THIS ONE 1. How were the Pueblo Jumano homes unique? 2. What were two ways that the Plains people used the horse? 3. How was hunting a buffalo a risky venture? 4. How does language study help determine a group’s origins? 5. Comanche life centered on what two activities? 6. How did the Kiowas “record” their history? 7. Name one of the most important discoveries made by early humans?
1. Discovered in 1581, the Jumano Indians lived in Texas and New Mexico. By the 1750s, they had been pretty much wiped out. The few that remained were taken in by other tribes, such as the Apaches. The Jumano were known for trading skills and politics. 2. One of the two ways the Plains people used horses were, they used them to hunt buffalo since there fast runners. The second way the plains people used horses was as a travois to carry people or other items along.
1. They did not have buffalo hides like other Indians. Therefore, they built their homes of dirt, rock, and straw to make adobe homes. 2. I agree with GlitterBarbie on the 2nd one
5. Hunting and making war on other tribes 6. Animal hides were used as a type of book to record important events. Such hides were called calendar histories. 7. The discovery of how to make fire ?? sorry..that is all I can do. I did the best I could. For #2, I change my answer to hunting and warfare
