OpenStudy (forevershorty):

Triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF. In triangle ABC, side AB measures 9, side BC measures 3x+1, and side CA measures 7. In triangle DEF, side DE measures 9, side EF measures 2x+2, and side FD measures 7. What equation would help you to solve for the side length of BC and EF? Explain your reasoning using complete sentences.

OpenStudy (raden):

BC = EF 3x + 1 = 2x + 2 solve for x

OpenStudy (forevershorty):

x = -3. Wait. was that the equation I'm suppose to use? no right?

OpenStudy (nikato):

Yes, that is the equation u r suppose to use. U r trying to find an equation to find the lengths of those 2 sides

OpenStudy (forevershorty):

oh okay. thank you :3

OpenStudy (nikato):

Becuz the way u wrote ABc = DEF, Side BC would = side EF Remember writing the order of those angles/points matter

OpenStudy (nikato):

Ur welcome.
