Lets start with question 10.
\[\frac{ y^2 + 7y + 12 }{y^2 - 2y - 15}\]
Now this one is easy. Just factor both the numerator and the denominator. Do that for me real fast. (Hint: they go in binomials)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
k
OpenStudy (compassionate):
So show me once you factored it.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
y+4/y-5 c?

OpenStudy (compassionate):
\[\frac{ (y+3)(y+2) }{(y + 3)(y -3) } = \frac{ y + 2 }{ y - 3 }\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thats not an answer choice
OpenStudy (compassionate):
\[\frac{ (y+4)(y+3) }{ (y+3)(y-5) } = \frac{ y+4 }{ y-5}\]
So yes, you are correct.
10. = c.

k 9?
OpenStudy (compassionate):
Lets do problem 4.
\[(3x^2 - x^2 -x -1)\div x-1\]
Factor the left side.

(x-1)(2x+1)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
@Compassionate
OpenStudy (compassionate):
No\[(x - 1)(3x^2 + 2x + 1) \div (x - 1)\]
Now cancel out x - 1. .
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so 2x+1

ohh k whats next?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
IS 5 b 12?
OpenStudy (compassionate):
I can tell you 9. is wrong. The equation doesn't even have cubes. So it's either A or D.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
@Compassionate what about the rest?
