Is the group of words a simple sentence, a compound sentence, or a run-on sentence? Orangutans live in the jungle and swing from trees. A. simple sentence B. compound sentence C. run-on sentence

OpenStudy (pandagurl):

A compound sentence is two sentences joined together with a conjunction like... 'I saw a gorilla in the wild and he was cool!' A simple sentence is a sentence that has no conjunction like....' I saw a gorilla in the wild.' A run-on sentence is two sentences just mashed together and is very incorrect in grammar like.... 'I saw a gorilla in the wild, it was cool' They are connected with a comma. Some run-on sentences aren't even connected with a comma....: 'I saw a gorilla in the wild it was cool.' In other words, the answer is B. a compound sentence.
