does mass affect the acceleration of a skidding car?

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

I wouldn't think so.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a = F/m the heavier the car, the more force needed to get the same amount of acceleration (speeding up or slowing down).

If you have any questions about how I got this, please ask! Also, mass would be a proportionality constant, but we want to look at all values of mass to see if it has any effects. Thus, we can't look at just one \(m\). \(F=ma\) \(F_f=F_N\mu\qquad\)and\(\qquad F_N=mg\) \(\implies F_f=mg\mu=ma\) \(\downarrow\\ mg\mu=ma\Downarrow\\ g\mu=a\)
