Please help me identify the equation of the axis of symmetry?

OpenStudy (hydrogen):

The equation is: \[y = 0.05(x - 30)^2 + 6\] I was asked to find the coordinates of the vertex, and I did: they are (30, 6). However, next, I was asked to identify the "equation of the axis of symmetry". I feel very stuck with this and have been trying to figure this one out but can't seem to. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it very much!!

OpenStudy (hydrogen):

Oh, is the answer simply: x = 30?

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

the vertex of this parabola is (30,6). Thus you are correct - the answer is simply x=30

OpenStudy (hydrogen):

Thank you very much for verifying my answer and taking the time to reply!!

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

No problem :)
