If the lines cross the opposite angles are equal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Angle 2 equals Angle 4. From that you should be able to solve.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=15 but i cant find y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what are the values of angles 2 and 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the value of angle four is 112 therefore 2 must be 112 also m∠2=7x+7..... 7*15+7=112 so x=15

Correct so the total value of those two angles will be 224. Now the total value of all the angles will always be 360. So what is the value for the other two angles. 360 - 224= 136. Divide this by 2 and you get 68 which is the value for each of the other angles. Now solve for y.

that is where i get lost
