what is pi/2 + pi/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the common denominators which is 6. so 3pi/6 +pi/6= 4pi/6=2pi/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you need to do is make the terms have the same denominator. You can make both have 6 3pi/6 + pi/6 Does that make sense so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the same as (3pi + 1pi)/6 = 4pi/6 = 2pi/3 Does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much! my teacher wrote that it was pi/6 and I didn't think that it was right
