Can somebody please help me find the answer to this question. The length of a rectangle is four times it's width. If the area of the rectangle is 144 ft^ 2 find its perimeter .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The perimeter would equal 60 since the length is 24 and the width is 6. So if the area of a rectangle is Length * Width then 24 and 6 would be the correct answers for the length and width. You just need to simply multiply 24 and 6 which equals 144 and when you apply them to the rectangle, the sides should equal 60.

So is the perimeter. 60 ft?

Precisely :)
