Find the perpendicular slope y=1/4x - 4 with the points (-2,3) Use slope-intercept form!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perpendicular slope is the inverse of the slope it is perpendicular to. So what is inverse to 1/4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually it is (- 1 / slope of the line). In the problem above the slope of the perpendicular line would be - ( 1/(1/4))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isn't it 4? that's what my teacher told me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4
