Solve 1/4 (k-1) =7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO start by the opposite of multiplying which is division with the 1/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you do to one side you do to the other, but the opposite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So instead of multiplying by 1/4 we multiply 7 by 4 and get 28

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{1}{4}(k-1)=7\]Multiply both sides by 4.\[k-1=28\]Add 1 to both sides.\[k=29\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So (k-1)=28

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now add the one to both sides and get k=29

Thanks !
