OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following is a member of M x N M = {20,20,55,60} N = {30,55,65} (10 points) A. (20,20) B. (30,30) C. (55,60) D. (30,60)

OpenStudy (perl):

I dont see the answer then , it is none of these

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This question is confusing. M = {20,20,55,60} are you sure that is 20,20,55,60? Secondly in maths MxN stands for some kind of multiplication. Are you sure that there is an x in between?

OpenStudy (perl):

MxN stands for the cartesian product of M and N, thats fine

OpenStudy (perl):

the set of all pairs using the first member from M and second member from N

OpenStudy (perl):

but you should check if theres a typo in the question.

OpenStudy (perl):

in your set M, you have 20 twice. that seems odd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

A = {1, 2, 3} B = {400, 500, 600} A x B = {(1,400), (2,400), (3,400), (1,500), (2,500), (3,500), (1,600), (2,600), (3,600)}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont think trejackson is studying Cartesian product. I believe this question is just stated poorly. Maybe Im wrong, than so sorry

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

all the options are co-ordinate pairs

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

For this question you will have to determine which of the coordinate pairs (from the options provided) is formed in the cartesian product

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

(either there is a typo in the question) or E. None of the above
