what is the approximate volume.

A surface copper mine is in the shape of a half sphere. The mine has a diameter of 0.75 km. What is its approximate volume?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not 100% sure of how I'm supposed to visualize that problem, but I believe (if I have read it right) your answer could be found the following way: \[Answer = (Volume of Sphere at radius of 0.75km) \div 2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ {4 \over 3}({0.75 km \over 2})^3 \pi \div 2 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*I divided 0.75 by 2 to get the radius - because 0.75 is the diameter, not the radius.

I was trying to find the volume, I am sorry. Not the diamter
