he loved Caesar, they were good friends, but he loved Rome more and he sensed that Caesar would rise and bring tyranny to the free Roman people so he kills Caesar. I consider him a betrayer because he killed his best friend, other people consider hima patriot to the Roman people but then again he had no proof Caesar was going to be a bad ruler.. up to you.
