What would happen to cell division if a chemical was put in the cell that did not allow for cell division to occur?

WELCOME TO OS:) The cell would not divide. The cell would die because there are organelles divided for a new cell and the cell would grow too big for the nutrient packages to reach the organelles efficiently.
