MEDALS!!! <3 Cinema: Create a Backstory Write the backstory for “The Raven.” Think about who the speaker is, what his previous life has been like, what kind of relationship he had with Lenore, what happened to Lenore, and why the raven comes to visit. Use your imagination--including inventing characters and events that are not mentioned in the poem.

The Raven is a poem by Poe. You can find it for free online by using a search engine. In the poem, the speaker references his lost love, Lenore. Read the poem (it's not super long) and use clues from that poem to inform your back-story. This is really a creative writing assignment, so you're just going to have to imagine a lot of it.
