According to Newton's First Law of Motion, what does it take to move an object at rest?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. a force greater than the force keeping the object at rest B. a frictionless surface and a net force of 100N C. a force equal to the force keeping the object at rest, but in the opposite direction D. the force of inertia cannot be overcome without changing gravity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it takes a force, just which one of these? rule out B and D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If a force is greater than the force keeping an object at rest than it is unbalanced. Unbalanced forces are what makes an object at rest move. :) So i think A) Is correct.
