OpenStudy (nicole143):

@mathmale Good evening, could you once again help me?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Certainly! But I do need to finish helping another student. Why don't you go ahead and post your math problem in the meantime?

OpenStudy (nicole143):

Okay! And thank you! Just number 69.

OpenStudy (nicole143):

I know you won't be able to do much with showing me the graphing part, if you could help with the other bits I think I'll be able to mark the points of the graph(:

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Nicole, I trust you know how to graph y=x^2. Could you take advantage of that knowledge to graph -x^2? -5x^2? I'll be back.

OpenStudy (nicole143):

Yes, filling in for x and then solving for y.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Nicole, you can certainly do that. But it's much faster just to remember the shape of a basic quadratic function (y=x^2) and start from that shape. No tables of values needed.

OpenStudy (nicole143):

I do not know that :/
