Hi, Genes play a role. If you look at Mendel's experiments, you'll see that traits are passed on to the offspring. Dominate genes are expressed in the phenotype, while receive genes may stay in the genotype. However, receive genes can be expressed if both the parents have the allele. Environmental factors, or Darwinist Factors, are also attributes to the properties of plants. Plants favorable to their environment will pass their traits on. For example, if it helps to have a long stem for photosynthesis, then long-stem plants will become more common. \(\bf\Large\color{#00B4ff}{Open}\color{#7cc517}{Study}\color{}{~Ambassador}\color{#872af0}{~~Ⓐ}\color{#478903}{~Compassionate}\)
