find the derivative of f(x)= x^x

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

\[\begin{array}{rcl} f(x)&=&x^x\\ \ln f(x)&=&x\ln x\\ \frac{f'(x)}{f(x)}&=&\ln x+1\\ f'(x)&=&f(x)(\ln x+1)\\ f'(x)&=&x^x(\ln x+1) \end{array}\]

OpenStudy (praxer):

It was my HS paper problem. Thanks for solving it. I was trying with a^x formula but i forgot of this. Exam is over and see now I have the answer :)

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):
