Area of semicircle:
A = 1/2πr²
A = 1/2π(10)²
A = 1/2(100π)
A = 157.0796327
Area of square:
A = s²√3 / 4
A =10²√3 / 4
A = 43.30127019
Area of Shaded region = Area of semicircle + area of square
= 157.07~~ + 43.30..
= 200.38 cm² approximately

oh right
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I'll just replace all radius with 5.. and everything will be correct right?
OpenStudy (phi):
yes, you have the right idea... but the radius is 5 (not 10). The area of the triangle is ok.
