calculate the volume of alcohol that you have to add to one liter of cola to make a drink of 10% (v/v) alcohol. I'm having a brain fart.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should be 0.1L alcohol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know but how do you calculate that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually it's wrong. The answer is 111ml

I don't know the equation you would use to set it up, but my reasoning would be that you know you are adding some amount to 1L and if you add 0.111L to 1L, then it would be 10% alcohol. It's more of a guess and check thing in my mind, sorry if that doesn't really help though.
