Line IJ has an equation of a line y = 6x - 5, and line KL has an equation of a line y = 6x + 3. These two lines are (5 points) Select one: a. parallel because the slopes of the lines are equal b. perpendicular because the slopes are opposite reciprocals c. both equations of the same line d. not parallel or perpendicular

Pro: Why not start by graphing both lines? While this is not strictly necessary, graphing the lines should tell you immediately which word you should use to fill in the blank.
They have the same slope, then they are parallel. Graphing them will also help.
so wqts the answer
Please: YOU go back to the original question, read the four answer choices, and choose the one YOU think is best. Then I'd be happy to give you feedback on your choice.
D?
Pro: Sorry, but I much prefer to see YOUR work or read YOUR reasoning before I confirm an answer. Sketch or type the work you did and share it with me, OK?
then it must be B then
Please do some work and share an image of it with me and other OpenStudy members. I will not be giving y ou "yes" or "no" or "right" or "wrong" answers in a case like this, because it is important to me to know and understand y our thought processes.
