Well I am not sure how to explain this clearly. The answer is D. You have power of 1/3 Lets look at a few powers to see what happens. (1/3)^1=(1/3) (1/3)^2=(1/3^2)=1/9 (1/3)^3=1/27 So you can see that as I increase the powers (x) the function takes smaller values. Lets look at the other side: (1/3)^0=1 (1/3)^-1=3 (1/3)^-2=9 (1/3)^-3=27 You can see that is way more rapid, that is why the solution is D
