Whoa. Let me help you with this.

1. The answer is "Yo SOY de Costa Rica. The reason being because "soy' means that you are from Costa Rica. The "Esta" that you put made the sentence look like this "I am in from Costa Rica." Thats not right. "Estoy" is when you are IN Costa Rica, not FROM Costa Rica.

2. Correct!

3. La taza de cafe esta al lado del plato. It is "ESTA" [with accent] because it is saying that the cup of coffee is beside the plate.

5. This one is hard and confusing because you can use either "esta" and "es", and I think you got it correct!
