OpenStudy (cyclone3260):

Simplify. (y^3)^5 · y^4 == y^19?? I'm trying to get this!

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Bravo, Study Gurl. I see you've been studying! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(y^3)^5= is not y^8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

... you mulitply there.. its y^15..

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Because.... \[(y^{n})^{m} = y^{n (m)}\] and \[y^{n} * y^{m} = y^{n + m}\] \[(y^{3})^{5} = y^{15}\] \[y^{15} * y^{4} = y^{19}\]
