WILL GIVE A MEDAL!! PLEASE HELP (equation below)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ w }{ 4 } - 4 = 3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 28? \[\frac{ 28 }{ 4 } - 4 = 3\]

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

add 4 on both sides

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

w/4=7

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

then multiply 4 on both sides to get the value of w

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ w }{ 4 } - 4 + 4 = 3 + 4\] \[\frac{ w }{ 4 } = 7\] \[\frac{ w }{ 4 } \times 4 = 7 \times 4\] \[w = 28\]
