Kathy run a 26.2 mile marathon at an average pace of 6.2 minutes per mile. how long will it take her to finish? round answer to the nearest min

OpenStudy (kainui):

If you have to go 60 miles at 30 miles per hour, how long will it take to get there? 2 hours right? Think about this, and see if you can make a formula that matches this, using distance, rate, and time. Change it around, like how long would it take her to go 60 miles at 20 mph?

OpenStudy (kainui):

How long have you been doing math for? Surely you aren't going to just go and play baseball a few times and beat yourself up for not being a pro just because you miss the ball a few times. It just takes a little practice that you don't have yet, and that's ok.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Yeah, that looks right. =)

Yeah, I failed precalculus in highschool and when I got to college I didn't do very well in college algebra but I had to take it for a requirement. But then I sort of discovered calculus on khan academy. And calculus is basically math that allows you to add up an infinite number of things and divide by zero -- it's pretty crazy and interesting. And so I started really studying math and science and it's all really hard, but since it's all very interesting I don't mind spending the time to understand, and now I'm about to graduate with a math degree haha.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Same, honestly haha. If I had known what I'm doing now when I was in highschool, I probably would have just run away or killed myself because that would seem like a nightmare at the time haha.
