a rectangular pool is 7 feet wide. it is 3 times as long as it is wide... find the perimeter of the pool

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just need to know where to start please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since it is 3 times as long as the width you would do 7 times 3 and get 21 and to find the perimeter you do length times 2 plus width times and get the perimeter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be 56

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it would be 56

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok the area of a rectangle is 36 square centimeters and its length is 9 centimeters what is the width of the rectangle. do I figure it out like the other question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no because it doesn't ask you for the perimeter it gives you the area and the length and you need to find what the width is
