So if you want to factor this, I like to think of it like this:

(x+a)(x+b)=x^2+(a+b)x+ab

and so this gives me two equations:

-19=a+b
-9=ab

And then you can plug one into the other to find one number, and then the other. Then you can just write a and b out like how we started:

(x+a)(x+b)
